Recipe For : 2
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Ingredients:
Big Onion - 1
Tamarind - a lemon size ball
Salt - As required
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
To Dry Roast and Grind:
Dry Red Chili - 2
Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Procedure:
- Dry Roast and Grind everything under ' To Dry Roast And Grind'. Chop Big Onion finely. Extract tamarind juice from Tamarind.
- Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot add chopped onions.
- Cover the pan with a lid and cook. Add salt and turmeric powder in between.
- When the onions are completely cooked add Tamarind extract.
- Add also the ground powder. Cook in low flame till the thokku gets thickened.
- Switch off the flame and serve the thokku with variety rice . From my personal experience it tastes so good with Curd rice.
