Easy Egg Briyani

Easy Egg Briyani As the name suggests, its one of the easiest Briyanis. I have tried this Vahchef recipe many times and it turns amazing always. You can prepare this extra-ordinary briyani in just 20 minutes. If you are a Vegetarian, you can prepare this briyani without egg. One of the yummiest Briyanis, which can be prepared easily..

Preparation Time : 20 minutes


Ingredients:


Basmati Rice                 - 1 cup
Hard Boiled Egg           - 2
Big Onion                      - 1 (Big)
Green Chili                    - 2
Ginger-Garlic Paste       - 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder           - 1/4 tsp
Chili Powder                  - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder          - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder   - 1/4 tsp
Yogurt                            - 1/4 cup
Salt                                 - As required
Mint Leaves                   - a handful
Coriander Leaves           - a handful
Oil                                  - 2 tbsp

Procedure:



  1. Wash and cook rice in 2 cups of water for a whistle. Hard boil eggs. You can check here for how to prepare Hard Boiled Eggs. Chop Big onion lengthwise. Slit Green Chili. Chop finely coriander and mint leaves.
  2. Heat oil in  a pan. Add chopped Big onion and slit Green chili to it. Saute till onions turn translucent. 
  3. After they turn translucent add Ginger garlic paste. Add also turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder in a quick session. Add all the powders very fast, so that none of the onions get burnt.
  4. Add yogurt, enough salt, coriander and mint leaves. Mix everything well.
  5. Reduce the flame to low and add cooked rice to the pan. Mix rice well with gravy. Cover with a lid and cook in low flame for 3 more minutes. Switch off the flame after that. Enjoy your Briyani with Raita!!!!
