Samba Rava Idli
Its just the simpla logic.. Try to avoid white color food ingredients like White rice, Maida, Sugar, rava .. Instead replace it with Brown rice, whole wheat flour, Brown sugar and Samba rava.. The reason why we should avoid these white colored food ingredients is that they will lose all the good nutrition while processing,,
And my another try with samba rava.. Its samba rava idli which is similar to rava idli,. And its an instant one,, you can prepare this idli in minimum time.. Give this recipe a try, for an easy , healthy and instant idli.. Here goes the recipe
Ingredients :(yieds 10 idlis)
Samba Rava - 1cup
Curd - 1/4cup
Water. - as required
Salt. - as required
Curd - 1/4cup
Water. - as required
Salt. - as required
For seasoning:
Mustard seeds. - 1tsp
Urad Dal. - 1 tsp
Channa Dal. - 1 tsp
Red chilli. - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves. - few
Coriander Leaves - few
Urad Dal. - 1 tsp
Channa Dal. - 1 tsp
Red chilli. - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves. - few
Coriander Leaves - few
Procedure:
- Dry roast samba rava in a pan. Take out in a bowl. Add curd, salt and add enough water to make the batter of idli batter consistency. .
- Do the seasoning and add it to the batter,,Let the batter ferment for at-least 30 minutes.
- Grease the idli plates., add batter to the moulds and steam the idlis for 10 minutes. .
- Enjoy your idli with sambar and Chutney of your choice.
- I am serving it with coriander coconut chutney..
